The Austrian market for closed-end funds which slumped massively during the financial crisis will reactivate. This is the majority opinion of about 50 industry representatives who met in Vienna on 23rd March for a Business Breakfast on the topic of “closed-end funds – The Comeback of  Corporate Investment”. The event was organised by Re’public and the Austrian Marketing Association (Finanz-Marketing Verband Österreich (FMVÖ). “The high level of participation bears testament to a great interest in closed-end funds“, says Jürgen Arbter, CEO of Re’public Agentur für Finanzkommunikation G.m.b.H. “In fact there were 15 more guests than were registered”. “ At Café Landmann there were speeches by amongst others Peter Mayerhofer, Chairman of the Association for Alternative Investments, Sven-Michael Sautter from the issuing house Hannover Leasing and Michael Blin, director of Valartis Bank.
